Swing More! is a big band and jazz sample library by Project SAM, featuring solo saxes, full band chords, drums, basses, guitar, and strings. It expands on the original Swing! with new content for film and animation scoring.

Purpose and Scope
Swing More! is designed for composers needing authentic big band and jazz sounds in film music, from animation to film noir. It packs more instruments into a single library than any previous ProjectSAM release, offering a complete alternative to the symphony orchestra for jazz-oriented cues.
The library includes solo saxophones, jazzy clarinet, full big band chords, a rhythm section, and additional instruments like vibraphone, piano, and strings. Every instrument was performed by jazz veterans, ensuring stylistic authenticity suitable for both period pieces and modern scoring.
Key Capabilities
Instrument coverage is extensive: solo soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone sax with over thirteen articulations each, plus jazz clarinet with genre-specific bends. Brass includes trumpets and trombones with legato and multiple vibrato types. The rhythm section features guitar, basses, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, and a deep sampled drum kit with tempo-synced grooves.
Chords are a highlight: full big band and trombone sections offer twelve chord types per key with multiple inversions, playable as sustain or staccato. Solo instruments include performance tools like falls, bends, slurs, and several legato modes. The library also provides sixteen inspiring Multis for quick setups.
Workflow and Integration
Swing More! runs in the free Kontakt Player, requiring no additional sampler. It supports Native Kontrol Standard with Light Guide and Komplete Kontrol control, plus easy output routing for mic channels. The audio is recorded at 44.1 kHz with 24-bit quality, and the library requires about 80 GB of audio pool size, with 40 GB on disk.
For tempo-based work, the library includes tempo-synced grooves, phrases, and drum breaks. Instruments like guitar and ukulele offer strums and slides that align to the session tempo. The optional motor effect on vibraphone and controllable pedal release on piano add realistic performance nuances.
Practical Applications
Use Swing More! for scoring animation, film noir, or any project needing authentic jazz or big band textures. The full band chords simplify arranging complex harmonies, while solo instruments allow detailed lead lines. The rhythm section supports swing, blues, or Latin cues with drums, bass, and percussion.
For film scenes, the library excels at creating period atmosphere or energetic dance numbers. The women vocals add a charming choral layer, and the strings provide arco and pizzicato options for texture. The Multis offer starting points for full arrangements, and the mic routing enables custom mixing.
