A deeply sampled Arabic Oud virtual instrument, recorded with virtuoso Bassam Ayoub. It features multiple articulations, velocity layers, round robins, and integrated microtunings for authentic Maqam performance.

Authentic Oud Sound
The Arabic Oud library captures one of the oldest instruments in Middle Eastern music, recorded in close collaboration with virtuoso Bassam Ayoub. The emphasis is on achieving an authentic sound for both melodic playing and rhythmic accompaniment, with a wide range of playing variations.
The library includes three recorded instruments, offering a versatile sound spectrum that can enrich any musical style. With numerous articulations, velocity layers, and round robins, it brings the instrument to life, suitable for both studio and live performances.
Integrated Microtunings
For professional Maqam performers, the Arabic Oud includes essential microtunings commonly used in oriental music: Bayati, Rast, Saba, and Seka. Each tuning provides two variants—Normal and Syriac Church—as well as free choice of the root key.
This feature allows you to play in authentic pitch systems directly within your DAW, making it easier to compose or perform traditional scales. The user interface is designed for quick access to these tunings, streamlining the creative workflow.
Performance Controls
The interface includes keyswitches to switch between playing techniques, enabling realistic performances. There are two types: Latch keyswitches remain active after release, while Hold keyswitches stay active only while pressed, returning to the last selected Latch.
Green MIDI Song Keys provide short MIDI sequences that showcase the instrument’s playing possibilities, offering inspiration and examples of how to use the articulations effectively in your own arrangements.
Live and Studio Use
In addition to the full library, each of the three instruments is available as a Lite version. These patches contain the essential articulations needed to perform the Oud realistically in a live environment, ensuring reliability and ease of use on stage.
The library is designed to integrate into DAW-based production, with an interface that focuses on intuitive control. Whether composing in the studio or performing live, the Arabic Oud aims to deliver an authentic and flexible playing experience.
