Audio effects and utilities

BLEASS Delay is a versatile multi-purpose delay plugin with integrated frequency shifter, dual filters, and three LFOs for creating dynamic echoes, modulation effects, and evolving soundscapes.

BLEASS Delay

Core Delay Engine

BLEASS Delay offers a flexible delay section that goes beyond simple echoes. The Sync button lets you lock repeats to your DAW’s tempo, with delay times adjustable in bar fractions when synced or milliseconds when free-running. A Ping Pong mode, paired with a Stereo dial, creates alternating left-right repeats with adjustable width.

The feedback control determines the number of repeats, from a single echo to infinite regeneration at maximum. A dry/wet mix balances the processed signal against the original. The delay section also includes its own LFO for modulating delay time, producing ever-shifting repeat patterns.

Frequency Shifter and Filters

Integrated frequency shifter applies a cumulative shift to each repeat, allowing for dramatic pitch changes that build over time. A dedicated LFO can modulate the shift amount, creating rising or falling motion. Stereo controls introduce phase offsets between left and right channels, producing widening or swirling effects.

The dual filter section includes low-pass and high-pass filters with adjustable cutoff and resonance, accessible via an interactive graph. Each filter can be individually modulated by an LFO, with a choice of which filter receives the modulation. This enables timbral shaping of repeats, from darkening to brightening or creating rhythmic filter sweeps.

Modulation and LFOs

Three independent LFOs are dedicated to the delay time, frequency shifter, and filter cutoff. Each LFO offers rate and depth controls, plus a stereo phase offset for creating complex spatial movement. This setup allows for classic modulation effects like chorus and flanging, as well as more experimental textures.

By modulating delay time, the LFO can produce pitch warble or tape-style instability. Modulating the shifter generates eerie, shifting harmonics, while filter modulation yields evolving timbres. The phase offset between channels enhances stereo width, making the plugin suitable for creating wide, animated soundscapes.

Workflow and Applications

BLEASS Delay is designed for intuitive use, with a clean interface that groups controls into clear sections. The filter graph allows direct manipulation of cutoff and resonance, while LFO assignments are made with simple buttons. This streamlines setup, reducing the need for complex routing or multiple plugins.

It suits a range of music styles, from subtle echo on vocals or guitars to extreme frequency-shifted effects on synths or drums. The modulation capabilities make it useful for sound design, generating ambient pads, risers, or alien-like textures. Its versatility allows producers to achieve both practical delay duties and creative sound effects in one plugin.
