EarMaster Pro 7 is a comprehensive ear training, sight-singing, and rhythm training software with over 2500 progressive exercises for musicians of all levels, from beginners to advanced, featuring voice detection and MIDI input.
Comprehensive Musicianship Training
EarMaster Pro 7 is designed to build core musicianship skills through a structured curriculum. It covers ear training fundamentals including interval recognition, chord identification, chord inversions, scales, harmonic progressions, and melodic dictation. The included beginner’s course guides novices through these essential areas step by step.
Advanced users can explore jazz workshops with dedicated exercises for jazz chords, progressions, swing rhythms, and sight-singing based on standard tunes like “St. Louis Blues.” This makes the software suitable for both academic study and personal skill development, addressing a wide range of musical competencies.
Interactive Practice with Instant Feedback
A key feature is the voice detection technology that recognizes sung notes, allowing users to sing back melodies or sing sight-singing scores into a microphone (not included) and receive immediate feedback on pitch and timing. This turns practice into an interactive, self-correcting experience without needing a human partner.
For rhythm training, users tap rhythms in real time and get instant performance feedback. Alternatively, a MIDI instrument (not included) can be connected to play answers instead of singing or tapping, offering a flexible approach for instrumentalists who prefer to use their primary instrument.
Customization and Progress Tracking
EarMaster Pro 7 gives users complete control over their practice sessions. Hundreds of configuration options allow users to customize exercises by adjusting parameters such as voicing, key, pitch range, cadences, and time limits. This ensures that practice can be tailored to specific goals, weaknesses, or exam requirements.
The software also provides detailed statistics and results, enabling users to track progress day by day and identify strengths and areas for improvement. A smart help system is available throughout the program, and qualified in-house staff offer free email support, providing guidance when needed.
Educational and Practical Applications
Developed in partnership with music educators, EarMaster Pro 7 mirrors the exercises used in leading music schools and is adopted by thousands of educational institutions globally. It is an effective tool for students preparing for music exams or for hobbyists seeking to improve their musical ear.
The software supports practical skills like transcribing music by ear, singing on pitch, and playing in rhythm with precise timing. With over 2500 progressive lessons, users can work at their own pace, making consistent progress within weeks.
