The bleed matrix lets you control how much of each drum bleeds into other mics, such as sending kick bleed into the snare or hi-hat bleed into toms, replicating a natural recording environment.
The Global tab provides a fully customizable velocity curve with presets, along with a complete bleed matrix. Unused mics and bleeds are intelligently unloaded to save resources, making the instrument efficient. This level of control lets you craft a tight, focused mix or a wide, roomy sound without needing external plugins.
Flexible Mapping and Drum Tweaks
The Mapping tab allows you to assign any drum or articulation to almost any key. You can mix and match drums from different kits, use provided mapping presets, or create your own from scratch. MIDI learn is supported for quick assignment, and you can adjust volume and tuning for individual notes, even when they share the same drum or articulation.
The Drum Tweak area offers per-drum shaping for each drum and cymbal. You can edit envelope, volume, pan, and tune for individual pieces, or apply changes to all drums of a type simultaneously. Kicks and snares have additional in/out and beater/sub or top/bottom mix controls, giving you precise sound sculpting capabilities.
Effects and Workflow Integration
Each mic channel includes its own analog-modeled FX rack, with a compressor, 4-band parametric EQ, transient designer, tape saturator/exciter, and convolution reverb with custom impulse responses. This allows you to achieve a polished drum sound directly within the instrument, without needing to insert separate effects in your DAW.
The mixer provides flexible routing to your DAW, so you can send individual mics or the full kit to separate tracks for further processing. Combined with the included MIDI grooves and fills, which span tempos from 80 to 200 BPM, Shreddage Drums is designed to fit seamlessly into a rock or metal production workflow, from sketching ideas to final mix.
