Komplete 26 Ultimate is a comprehensive music production bundle from Native Instruments, combining synths, sampled instruments, effects, and Expansions for composing, sound design, and beat-making across genres.
Core Bundle Overview
Komplete 26 Ultimate is a specialist music production bundle that assembles a large collection of synthesizers, sampled instruments, and studio effects in one package. It includes Kontakt 8, Massive X, Guitar Rig 7 Pro, and the returning semi-modular synthesizer Absynth 6. The bundle also adds fresh instruments like LCO Producer Strings, Cremona Quartet Ensemble, Claire, and Session Series guitars and basses.
This edition is designed to handle diverse projects, from songwriting to media scoring. It incorporates the Scene Series for cinematic composition and the latest Play Series and Expansions covering genres like hyperpop, house, and reggaeton. The collection is intended to be a one-stop toolkit for producers who need a broad sonic palette without assembling separate purchases.
Instruments and Synthesizers
The bundled instruments cover a wide range of sound sources. Sampled collections include Alicia’s Electric Keys, Noire by Nils Frahm, and Electric Keys for authentic keyboard tones. The Spotlight Collection offers world music sounds. For creative experimentation, Playbox allows randomized sound generation. Synths include Absynth 6, Super 8, Reaktor 6, Razor, and Massive X, each offering distinct synthesis methods from analog emulation to wavetable and additive synthesis.
These tools support both realistic playing and abstract sound design. The inclusion of LCO Producer Strings and Cremona Quartet Ensemble provides orchestral textures, while Claire delivers a large grand piano. Session series instruments focus on songwriting essentials. This range enables users to craft anything from traditional compositions to experimental electronic music using a single integrated workflow.
Effects and Sound Design Tools
Effects in Komplete 26 Ultimate help shape and polish audio. Guitar Rig 7 Pro offers a creative playground for amp and pedal simulation. Additional processors include Brainworx’s bx_Clipper and bx_XL V3 for dynamics and loudness. Characterful classics like Raum, Mod Pack, Crush Pack, RC24, RC48, and Replika XT provide reverb, modulation, distortion, and delay options.
For cinematic sound design, the bundle includes granular tools like Straylight, Ashlight, and Pharlight, along with Choir Omnia Essentials, Piano Colors, Vocal Colors, Sequis, and Rise & Hit. These specialized instruments are built for evolving textures and impactful transitions. The combination of effects and sound design tools allows for deep sound sculpting, suitable for film scoring and experimental production.
Drums, Expansions, and Workflow
Drum and percussion options include Session Percussionist, Abbey Road series, and Play Series like Karriem Riggins Drums, Butch Vig Drums, and Rudiments for hip-hop beats. TRK-01 handles techno low-end, while Battery 4 serves as a creative beat production tool. Expansions are genre-based sound packs with samples, loops, presets, and one-shots, designed to be used with Massive X, Kontakt 8, and Maschine.
Workflow integration is supported through NKS technology, allowing users to browse and preview sounds from NI hardware and select partner controllers, with parameters pre-mapped for immediate control. Users can upgrade to Komplete 26 Collector’s Edition later, paying only the price difference. This setup is designed to streamline sound selection and performance, making the bundle practical for both studio and live use.
